ADIWATT systems on the roofs of the Olympic Village in Paris.

AdiWatt was chosen to supply the metal frameworks and the integration system for the photovoltaic panel installations on the roofs of five buildings in the Olympic Village.

These installations represent a total of 578 panels and an installed capacity of 219 kWp.

Solideo, the public company responsible for the construction and renovation of Olympic and Paralympic structures, has set itself the goal for the Olympic Village of “embodying the urban planning of the 21st century, thanks to its energy efficiency, carbon neutrality and strong emphasis on biodiversity”. The Village’s roofs have therefore all been used either to produce electricity or to be planted with vegetation, and even to accommodate a basketball court.

After the Games, the Village will be transformed into a district capable of accommodating 6,000 residents and 6,000 employees.

This installation will prevent 47 tonnes of CO2 being emitted into the atmosphere every year.
